Does anybody still believe in spiritualism and mediums?
After seeing people like Derren Brown i have now come to the conclusion its all fake and fraud. If people can speak to the dead why do people who have passed over seem to communicate through cryptic clues through the medium? I used to believe and attended spirtualist churches and classes and now i realise its all a con, actually it p isses me off as i believe these people are at best dillusional fools and at worst the worst kind of scum who prey on peoples hopes, fears and heartaches!!

People believe in all kinds of crazy crap like christianity, scientology, crystals, and Islam so there is no doubt that they still believe in that palm reading stuff.

Only morons do.
All of these so-called “psychics” and “mediums” have two things in common; they are charlatans and con-artists.

Well, No it doesn’t and yes it does its complicated I’ll try to explain.
Hypnosis is a form of persuasion, it uses the power of suggestion. Every person has the mental capacity to induce a trance like state where they disconnect certain percepts and relax. This state is logged on the same chart that maps the levels of conscious activity when falling asleep. There are levels of consciousness, that descend until you are out cold or fall into a coma. Anyway, the trance like state is above that of being asleep but below the normal level of being awake.
In essence they are half awake and half asleep. This accounts for being able to control things such as pain. The suggestion bit comes when you ask the questions or tell them to do something, they are fully awake make no mistake they are just very relaxed and ina very submissive state, if you ask them to do something they displace any responsibility onto you so they can still decide whether or not they want to do what you ask, if they do it then it is only because it is something they would do anyway but don’t for fear of the consequences or aftermath.
As for Hypnosis the process, ie Hypnotising people, this is simply a process of goading the person into relaxing.
If a person consciously decides they will not be hypnotised then no matter what you do it won’t work.
Derren Brown wrote a book called Tricks of the Mind and it covers all of this in depth you should go and buy it its a very easy read, it will help.
Edit: realising I waffled a bit to summarise: yes it works if the person being hypnotised wants it to work, but its all perception.

I had this when i was younger but i couldnt be hypnotised and the lovely M.D doctor(sarcasm about the lovely part) blamed me of course instead of the “therapy” of Hypnotism itself.
