How to make sense of the Gods & Goddesses or are we the creators?
I am asking this question in order to look for ways of approaching my quandary in order to come to my own conclusion. In other words I am not asking this to insult anyone or belittle anyone or accuse anyone if this makes sense.
I have looked into several different types of mind expanding studies or technologies if you will accept the wording I use. I have looked into Remote Viewing, Astral Travel, The Silva Method, and various magick techniques.
What I am getting at is this. When you listen to people involved in any of these techniques, I am sorry if the wording isn’t quite right I mean no insult. So for instance if you look at Remote Viewing the teachers of RV, the military people who created RV will say that sometimes entities or dark energies can enter your energy field and can mess with your mind in powerful ways.
If you look at The Silva Method there are people involved in The Silva Method who say that these techniques can bring in dark entities or energies which can do harm.
One hears the same thing about various magick techniques. If you read books on magick they will give you protection spells to protect you from psychic attack and so on.
When we look at the story of Jesus apparently it is basically the same story as Horus. There are some people who say Gods and Goddesses are nothing more than aliens. Some are supposed to be fallen Angels.
I am sure many of you know the things I mention and probably even more than I know. So my question is how can one go about figuring out which God, Goddess, alien, etc., wants to help and care for us and which are simply trying to manipulate or undermine our progression?
I already know what Christians think I want to hear from other religions for their points of view as well, thanks.
Modern science cannot measure ‘experience’ very well. Modern science can be used as an artful dodge or in some cases to tell the truth, but not always. If you are N.C. I am a big fan of your work. Very talented man.
I have unwittingly experienced various ‘things’ when I wasn’t out to do so. All I have is experience in my case. Yes I could be making things up or delusional but I don’t think so and I am not telling anyone what to believe or not to believe, no agenda on my part. Just lookin’ for truth.
Tom 1 – This makes a lot of sense to me. I would say that until the moment I called for protection from those I called upon I really thought they were fantasy. Again hypothetically if I indeed called upon them I felt an amazing feeling. I called upon them many times. I later spoke to other who had called upon various helpers and they all felt something. Some feelings were similar some were different.
So the idea that energy and intention gathers around and into the protector or guide, and the fact that the protector or guide which is more popular has more energy makes a lot of sense. I called upon a protector who I thought would be popular with another person, and asked that protector to look in on this other person. (In a sort of daydream sense) I may have imagined this protector looking at my house and almost saying “What am I supposed to do.” as if they had no energy. This may be where incantations come in to give the avatar power. It just seems to fit given my hypotheti
PhilosophyAngel – Wow that’s exactly what I was saying to someone today (we create and energize these creations, then we can ‘borrow’ from the energy of the more popular ‘energized’ thoughtforms, as Tom 1 also expressed) I am going to look into all of these new people and books everyone is offering – quite exciting.

All deities are manufactured by humans. It is only natural that there would be some overlap. As for the spiritual experiences you have describe, modern science considers them unfounded superstition.

I believe that Gods and Goddesses are psychic manifestations of what we believe. As they say, “Power is a beacon” and willing them into existence will do just that, often to a bad end as uncontrolled psychic energy often wreaks havoc in the physical world.
Nick, there are well documented cases of Telekinesis, Telepathy, Levitation, dimensional travel, EVP and even Ghosts. But because none of these phenomena are repeatable on demand, science says they can’t exist, despite their actual existence. Sometimes Science just doesn’t have any answers.

My approximate take is that religious entities attain non-physical reality as belief-empowered accretions, and as their definitions stabilize over time through scripture, so do their natures. The practical upshot is that any divine being described protective and nurturing should live up to their reputation if you call upon them, presumably in proportion to a) their popularity and b) your ability to believe in them. I bind this into a Christian framework, but it’s not a remotely mainstream view of course.
Glenn Morris’s Path Notes have some interesting tips on handling random deities if you haven’t checked them out yet. I’m guessing chaos magic practitioners would have some relevant ideas too.

What is the difference between Fate and Faith?
I know the literal and dictionary definitions obviously. But I’m wondering what is the difference between the theory of “fate” and the way christians and other religious people see the world. Do they coincide or are they unrelated?
Like, for exapmle, I just saw the movie Signs and was wondering about it
Perhaps I should rephrase. I mean, what is the differnce between FATE, and what religious people beleive is SUPPOSED to happen bc of a higher power.

Faith is like believing in something. For example, I have faith that you’ll pass this test.
Fate is when your life is already predestined or mapped out. For example, no one knows your life, but God. No tarot card reader, psychic reader, or Ouija Board can predict your life; Only you can and that’s through choices and free-will through God. Faith and fate are two different things; There is no theory of fate because it’s all in what you believe in.
