God do not accept Human sacrifices part 3?
Leviticus 27:28-29, “Note also that any one of his possessions which a man vows as doomed to the Lord, whether it is a human being or an animal, or a hereditary field, shall be neither sold nor ransomed; everything that is thus doomed becomes most sacred to the Lord. All human beings that are doomed lose the right to be redeemed; they must be put to death.” This passage is extremely difficult to understand and careful consideration in translation and understanding must be put in play here. If we read the previous chapter and other places in the Bible we find that if person Scarifies to the foreign gods that person becomes doomed, the key word doomed not sacrifice, This person accordingly to The law must be put to Death, the key word put to death not sacrifies! Therefore this person can not be redeemed, this person have being given a death sentence and it have nothing to do with the sacrifices God asked for. More about sacrifices as we move on.
At the LORD’s command, a man of God from Judah went to Bethel, and he arrived there just as Jeroboam was approaching the altar to offer a sacrifice. Then at the LORD’s command, he shouted, “O altar, altar! This is what the LORD says: A child named Josiah will be born into the dynasty of David. On you he will sacrifice the priests from the pagan shrines who come here to burn incense, and human bones will be burned on you.” (1 Kings 13:1-2 NLT) This is just a case of mistranslation due to the lack of knowledge, explain: The word sacrifice here have being mistranslated, if you look in a concordance you must understand that the definition here means slaughter do to divine judgment. The pagan priest would burn incense to Baal the sun, moon stars and host of heavens false gods) this would taking place all over Judea and Jerusalem. This is a prophesy something that will happened in the future. How can anyone desperate to “proof” Their Abominable base religion and then call it that is from God! You will see this in the next “proof” someone give me.
He [Josiah] executed the priests of the pagan shrines on their own altars, and he burned human bones on the altars to desecrate them. Finally, he returned to Jerusalem. King Josiah then issued this order to all the people: “You must celebrate the Passover to the LORD your God, as it is written in the Book of the Covenant.” There had not been a Passover celebration like that since the time when the judges ruled in Israel, throughout all the years of the kings of Israel and Judah. This Passover was celebrated to the LORD in Jerusalem during the eighteenth year of King Josiah’s reign. Josiah also exterminated the mediums and psychics, the household gods, and every other kind of idol worship, both in Jerusalem and throughout the land of Judah. He did this in obedience to all the laws written in the scroll that Hilkiah the priest had found in the LORD’s Temple. Never before had there been a king like Josiah, who turned to the LORD with all his heart and soul and strength, obeying all the laws of Moses. And there has never been a king like him since. (2 Kings 23:20-25 NLT) This is what came to pass which was prophesies in 1kings 13: 1-2 if you notice there is not one single word containing sacrifice! King Josiah return to God after Israel was disobeying and making all this incense burning to false gods. Josiah slaughter and kill all the pagan priest in their own man made altars and took all the bones of the previous pagan priest and burn them in their own altars! Read 2kings chapter 22 and then chapter 23 and you will see. This was not a sacrifice this was a slaughter do to divine judgment a death sentence if you may.
What about Jephthah’s daughter? If this god you speak of never accepted them, he should have let the poor guy know it would not be accepted, rather than let him kill his own daughter.
And even accepting animal sacrifices is barbaric. An actual god would not behave in such a way. Let me start answering this by explaining that this dude does not understand Scriptures at all just as I stated previously just repeating what hears from the pulpit. OK. What about Jephthah’s daughter? In the Hebrew commentaries states that the intention of Jephthah was to actually kill His wife because he though She was coming to greet him first also other commentaries suggest that he though his servants would come and greet him first. Why he made that vow? It is a bit obscure and the fact that God was silence about it is no proof that God condone it. God was hiding his face from Israel for their disobedient and there was no communication like that between Jephthah and God. Jephthah was not a prophet! Jephthah should have also know that the only vow you can break to God is if You would brake another bigger commandment it seems he was not right in his head I don’t know. But this in no way was a sacrifice either If it was a sacrifice why was there need to make a vow?
