Sally Morgan. Star Psychic? Link to Suicides? Should Psychics take more responsibility for their actions?
In Bridgend, Wales. There appears to have been a glut of suicides among youngsters, with the possibility that they are all linked by social media sites like Facebook etc.
The internet is a great media for ‘good’, but it’s also the best purveyor of ‘evil’.
Video clips of TV programmes are spread like wildfire all over these sites, with the ‘Sally Morgan, Star Psychic’ clips being no exception.
To everyday, well-adjusted people this presents no problem at all. Infact, I found her and the programme as a whole fascinating, addictive viewing.
I’d absolutely LOVE to believe in her. BUT!
Derren Brown and David Blain, both magicians, do exactly the same thing as Sally Morgan does, and you’re left wondering, HOW?
They both admit they’re NOT psychic, that it’s ‘mind-play’ at it’s best.
Now what if weaker individuals watch the Sally morgan show? Wouldn’t it be ‘great’ to believe that the after-life is a SAFE and SECURE place to go to?
Wouldn’t Suicide be easier?

Maybe it is better to weed out the stupid, like you know, “Survival of the Fittest”
The problem is, people need to stop believing the first thing they hear, *from* mainly one source.
People need to open up their minds. And I do not mean listen to the people who supposedly have “open-tolerant minds”.
People need to think for themselves, WITH the addition of informed research, not just one source, ALL. Then make a rational decision. And that does not mean, be oppositional just to be so.
It is *possible* these psychics could be linked to certain problems in society, I certainly see it in the MSM.
But, people ARE very gullible, and, like you said, weak minded.
More on subject: I guess if people don’t believe in heaven or hell or an afterlife, death would be nothing more than a dreamless sleep. Not so bad! Like a surgery. Whether it lasts 1 hour or 1 million years, it all *seems* the same. It would seem like a viable alternative, if life was so unfulfilling. “The Eternal Dreamless Dream”
I wrote a poem about that, if you want to hear it. “… A dream that’s been dreampt; and then forgot…” It talks about just that.

I feel it is unfair to single out one particular individual on this question. Christianity, Islam, Buddhism and many (if not all) religions tell of a ‘paradise’ in the afterlife do they not?
At the end of the day, for whatever reason, people who take their own lives have a choice. Whilst I would never condone suicide, its that particular individuals choice to end their physical existence, whether they believe in an afterlife or not. I am sure if they could see the pain that they give their family and friends when they make this decision they may have thought twice?
Whilst psychics and mediums have a responsibility, I don’t feel that they are doing anything different in painting a positive picture about the spirit world more than the vicar preaching his sermon every Sunday morning.

is there life after death?
well not life ofcourse but a continous amount of time, i.e the spirit world and all that stuff…
I have been having death dreams loads lately and in one I dreamt I was dead in a house not in this world and sat in a chair looking at a clock and the time was just flying by, days went by in seconds it was really strange and another one I dreamt I died I was lying in a bed next to a friend and my children were in another room and dying was jusdt like falling asleep I just couldnt keep my eyes open,
anyway its made me wonder about what happens to us after we die, people have report outer body experiences during surgery and heart attacks but it could be a chemical reaction in the brain and without our functioning brain how can we carry on being intelligent and having a memory?
I was thinking if I had lived before and had children before and loved them as much as I love my children now then how would I forget them and be able to leave them?
I have a really bad feeling that once we die thats just it, I mean the universe came from no where, it’s just always been, it has no edges, maybe exsistance is just like that its just something we cant explain, I dont believe in mediums or ghosts despite seeing a ”ghost” before, I think it is just a trick of the mind, like all the Derren Brown stuff he done at his seance thing, that was all fake.
I hope there is an exsistance after death because if this is it then I really need to do more with my life
thank you for the answers, Lizzy its not that I dont believe in God I mean we must have originated from somewhere, even if God is not an actual being, maybe a ball of energy such as the sun, well you could say that the sun is like a god because it produces life and without it nothing can survive, I just dont understand the science of it, I know people have said they can do astral projection and go to different peoples houses and see things they wouldnt otherwise know but without a brain and the fabric of time how can we exist? even as an energy form we would be nothing but pure energy and where would we go? what would we do? I would love to see all the people I loved at the end but I think if there was a thing as reincarnation wouldnt they have moved on by then? Im obsessed with finding out the truth after these dreams Ive had, but maybe there is no truth to find :/

Some people believe their is but me personally. I won’t know until i die but most likely, when your brain dies, you die. THE END. Its fun to think about an afterlife but…

it all comes down to personal belief, however due to no evidence and skepticism i would say that there isn’t. however no one knows for sure.

Okay, first of all, I strongly believe there IS a life after death. As a Christian, I believe that after we die, our spirits leave our bodies and ascend to heaven. I can’t understand how our only existence could be on Earth. It just seems so pointless but from what I’ve experienced in my life, I think there is a definite REASON for our existence.
It sounds like you are questioning some pretty important beliefs and I hate to say it but there’s no right answer. I really believe in my religion but I don’t want to force it on you because there are so many others out there and I’m not ready to say they’re wrong.
If I were you, I would do research. Plain and simple. Read about the tenets of different religions and see if you have a connection to one of them. I think you would just know, you know? And the way I look at it, it doesn’t hurt to live life thinking there’s something perfect (heaven) afterward as a motivation. Also, on the bright side, I don’t think any religion you choose is a “wrong” one. There are so many different belief systems and I really don’t think that at the end we’re gonna be judged on whether or not we, like, respected the pope or something (I happen to cuz I’m Catholic, but you know what I mean.)
In a nutshell, my advice is to find some faith; find a reason for your life and set goals with the idea “You know what, I wanna go to heaven and live in eternal happiness after this” and trust me, it will have such a good effect on everything.
I hope this has helped some, and good luck. 🙂
