Where can I find a good Psychic or Tarot Card Reader in the Bay Area?
I’d really like to get some astrology work done, but I don’t know how to trust the source necessarily
Suggestion by Songwolf
Be weary of anyone that charges money for their services. I don’t know about finding a psychic in your area, but you could always read books and try contacting a well known psychic or go on a site for psychics, like a online psychic community, and asking for their help and advice.
Edit: Not everyone that charges money is unreliable, it’s just harder to tell weather or not they might be fakes just scaming people.

Good at what?
Taking money from people.
It is not possible to predict future events.
If it was, tarot card readers would all be fabulously wealthy.
Because they would know today which horse was going to win tomorrow’s horse race.
If they were wealthy they would provide their service for free.

I agree with the other people’s answers. Tarot readers will just take your money and give you a vague thought that works for hundreds of thousands of people, kinda like how horoscopes work. If you need help with something that’s not going well in your life or need to talk to someone about life changing decisions, I would say to find someone you know or someone that has gone through the experience and talk it out with them.
If you’re looking for some fun and don’t really care much about spending a little money then I would say that I don’t have a good idea. I’ve not trusted any tarot readers ever.

What would it take for you to believe in Psychic Powers?
what kind of experience do you think … would be the sign of Psychic Powers being real? Would you need an Angel or Spirit guide of some kind? Would this be a sign of God for you?

If you told me what color of shirt and what brand of pants I was wearing I might believe you.

I take the bibles viewpoint.
The Bible strongly condemns spiritism, mediums, the occult, and psychics (Leviticus 20:27; Deuteronomy 18:10-13). Horoscopes, tarot cards, astrology, fortune tellers, palm readings, and séances fall into this category as well. These practices are based on the concept that there are gods, spirits, or deceased loved ones that can give advice and guidance. These “gods” or “spirits” are demons (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). The Bible gives us no reason to believe that deceased loved ones can contact us. If they were believers, they are in heaven enjoying the most wonderful place imaginable in fellowship with a loving God. If they were not believers, they are in hell, suffering the un-ending torment for rejecting God’s love and rebelling against Him.
So, if our loved ones cannot contact us, how do mediums, spiritists, and psychics get such accurate information? There have been many exposures of psychics as frauds. It has been proven that psychics can gain immense amounts of information on someone through ordinary means. Sometimes by just using a telephone number through caller ID and an internet search, a psychic can get names, addresses, dates of birth, dates of marriage, family members, etc. However, it is undeniable that psychics sometimes know things that should be impossible for them to know. Where do they get this information? The answer is from Satan and his demons. “And no wonder, for Satan himself masquerades as an angel of light. It is not surprising, then, if his servants masquerade as servants of righteousness. Their end will be what their actions deserve” (2 Corinthians 11:14-15). Acts 16:16-18 describes a fortune teller who was able to predict the future until the apostle Paul rebuked a demon out of her.
Satan pretends to be kind and helpful. He tries to appear as something good. Satan and his demons will give a psychic information about a person in order to get that person hooked into spiritism, something that God forbids. It appears innocent at first, but soon people can find themselves addicted to psychics and unwittingly allow Satan to control and destroy their lives. Peter proclaimed, “Be self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour” (1 Peter 5:8). In some cases, the psychics themselves are deceived, not knowing the true source of the information they receive. Whatever the case and wherever the source of the information, nothing connected to spiritism, witchcraft, or astrology is a godly means of discovering information. How does God want us to discern His will for our life? God’s plan is simple, yet powerful and effective: study the Bible (2 Timothy 3:16-17) and pray for wisdom (James 1:5).

Do psychics/clairvoyances intend to contact spirits and the supernatural?
Because in the past I thought what psychics were were just people with just an unusually high non-spiritual capacity for the brain (like electromagnetic influence and detection stuff). Do they actually do spirit contacts and such?
P.S. I am not asking if they “do”, but I’m asking if they set out to contact stuff like the spirit world and such.

I’ve been a clairvoyant since I was a young teenager and, no, there are no spirits involved.

The words psychic and intuitive are broad terms that encompass many abilities. So, while a clairvoyant is a psychic, s/he is not a medium. A medium is a psychic/intuitive person who can see/speak with spirit people. There are literally dozens of ways to manifest a psychic or intuitive ability.

There are distinct differences between the concepts of psychic ability, mediumship and clairvoyance. Mediums have the ability to channel or communicate with spirit entities. All mediums are also psychic, but not all psychics are mediums. Some psychics can communicate with spirit, while some cannot.
Psychic and mediums have different abilities or gifts, such as clairvoyance ( clear seeing), clairaudience (clear hearing) and clairsentience (clear sensing/feeling). Mediums are sometimes also referred to as “clairvoyants”, but this is incorrect, since clairvoyance is not mediumship. Mediums may use clairvoyance in their work when communicating with spirit, but they may also use one or more of the other “clair senses” to receive messages from the other side.
Have a look at some of the articles and sources below, which will help you to gain a better understanding of the different psychic abilities and how it differs from mediumship or spiritualism.
